A 61 year woman from Germany has died while descending from the world’s highest mountain, Mountain Everest. Eberhard Schaaf, 61, died alongside Nepali-born Canadian Shriya Shah, 32, and South Korean Song Won-bin, 44 as they descended from the Mountain Last Saturday.
Reports reaching us revealed that more than 300 climbers belonging to 33 different types of teams received official permits to climb the mountain from the Nepali side this season. The mountain’s worst-ever climbing season in history was in 1996, when 15 climbers died, eight of them in one day.

Eberhard Schaaf was believed to have died from Altitude sickness, symptoms include shortness of breath, fluid in lungs, coughing of blood and tiredness.
