A 17 year old female undergraduate, Ella Ukhueleigbe has died after her drink was spiked by a man who was alleged to be her family friend. The family friend, whose name was given simply as Tokunbo, was arrested after been discharged from Lagos University Teaching Hospital.
Ella Ukhueleigbe was admitted to the hospital after taking a drug that is used to enhance sexual libido. Tokunbo was alleged to have taken the drug and also put it into Ella’s drink without her consent and knowledge.

Ella was a second year student of Marine sciences at UNILAG

After taking the drink, Ella and Tokunbo both developed complications that lead to both of them being taken to LUTH.
Ella’s family are disgusted at the fact that she was not taken to the Hospital in time. A family member said, “They did not take her to hospital as soon as she developed a bad reaction to the drug that was put in her drink. She was already foaming in the mouth before they reluctantly took her to LUTH, and by that time it was already late.”
Pretty Ella, was a former student of Air Secondary School and the only girl in a family of three children. She was a second year student of Marine sciences and the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Kayode Amund confirmed that Ella lived in UNILAG’s famous Moremi Hall until she passed away.
