  • DeeJay

He is okay jo….another Rnb artist. There is Toba gold, there is Banky w, now DUncan daniels……..NO naija flava on his music…..He needs to study the game an see how his predecessors have been playing it otherwise he will dull quick. Gdluck sha

  • PI

This is good stuff by world standard. @DeeJay: I actually do not share your views first we can accommodate as many R&B as possible as long as they produce good and standard stuff and on your “NO Naija flava on this music” I feel different, good music is NAIJA FLAVA unless you mean Naija flavor to be sub-standard music. Comments like this would have made the great MI change his style and have “DULL” himself before he ever get known. ASA would have trash all her tracks based on this kind of comment and deprive the whole world of GOOD standard music. Foreign music are still favorites in 9ja, US E.T.C. including the MAKOSA style which we even do not understand. WHY???- because they are good music. We WANT our own to start winning Grammy awards and this can only be done with “good world music” which everyone will enjoy. This collaboration is such a music. KEP IT UP MI > KEEP IT UP DUNCAN DANIELS> I LOVE IT WHEN YOU DO IT LIKE THIS…

  • DeeJay

@PI – MI does have naija flava well mixed with other styles. This your Duncan guy is one dimensional. He needs some type of flava otherwise his days under naija musical umbrella will be numbered. He will become another RIZ or Keno and be irrelevant quicker than you think. me, i just dey talk my own sha. We don’t want another Trey songz, mario, or neyo wanna be. Again, decent track but still ordinary.

@DeeJay …Bro u need to understand an artist….do ur research b4 u start commenting…..Duncan Daniels …was born in Boston Massachusetts …he grew up in london…and spent limited time in Nigeria…he is presently in the US pushing his music both for the US/UK audience…he is not ur regular Nigerian artist….aint nothing wrong in pushing for somethin hire than the Tag Nigerian artist…Duncan Daniels is Universal…..and does not need to sound use Nigerian beats and slangs….he has fans in the U.S and the Uk who r not Nigerians….u guys listen to the same kind of music so much, that sometimes u forget there are more heights to be attained in the entertainment industry world wide…..that is what Duncan Daniels”s brand is about…am not asking u to like his music…. I’m just saying ..try not to be one sided and do some research….

  • DeeJay

i’m a deejay and i’m pretty darn good when it comes to understanding music, the audience that listens to them and artists as well. My opinion is based on my 10years in this business and its not going to change based on your comment. I guess we can both watch and see his progress as an artist esp if he wants to keep the non-naija swagg and cater to that audience. and who are you, by d way (mixer) are you his PR? is it by force that i like this guy’s music? abeg go and siddon somewhere jo……

  • http://n/a Mixer

like i said b4…u dnt have to like his music….but dnt be biased ..cuz he does not play your kind of music does not mean that he should not be giving credit…by the way i’m not his publicist …i just appreciater good music….and Duncan Daniels makes good music….

  • http://n/a Mixer

One more thing DeeJay…u r entitled to ur opinion….dnt get it twisted….but at the same time i’lld expect that you a Deejay of 10years can identify talent Nigerian or not…and many will agree that Duncan Daniels is talented…as a deejay ur sposed to help promote artists and not down talk them especially when they r good…its not easy for them..i’ve been a producer for more than 18yrs i know wut i am talking about…artists go through hell…so my brother try and encourage good work…nothing personal ..just real talk man. weather Duncan will last or not is for time to decide….but i like his work…and impressed by his production skills…peace Deejay. much respect to Nigerian Dj’s every where…and cheers to good music
