Halloween Night – Union NJ – I guess you don’t have to wear a costume or munch on sweets to have a nice night out “Halloweening.” At the Abuja restaurant on Burnet Ave in Union NJ, the mood was set for a tasty evening. The event was aptly tagged “A Taste of Elegance” and I -like many of the other attendees- had only the food to look forward to, since there wasn’t any Halloween candy on the menu.
The venue was packed with patrons who washed down the tasty Suya dish with Emu (also know as “palm wine”) and the ambiance was perfect. Amebor doesn’t usually pay to enter any event, but this one was different; there was no cover charge for any attendee! Diners simply purchased their meals and drinks.
Every thing seemed perfect, until you paid attention to the DJ! Geezzz! Ahn ahn!!! Had he worn a Freddy Krueger costume, his scary attire would’ve matched his scary Halloween performance. The look on some of the attendees’ faces each time he did his “cold mixing,” -which happened about every 50 seconds- was an image to behold.
He is certainly a good DJ, as we’ve heard him spin before – and will have much better performances in the nearest future… but damn dawg!!
Overall, the event went well, nicely done by Tony Abara and his Trois Elegante crew and the Abuja restaurant mgt.
And now to the “Canon Moments:”
