I first met the MecMen at the Nigerian Reunion in Long Island, NY. I was handed a CD and of course I listened to it. A track that stood out to me was Omo Naija. I love my country(NAIJA ALL DAY), so I immediately loved it. “OMO NAIJA WE NO DEY BOW DOWN”. They had 3 other tracks on their demo mix that was given out. “Shayo Everywhere” is more of that club banger feel. The kind of song where you know you wanna have a drink in your right hand, and a girl(or guy for the ladies) dancing freely on you. “OMO ELE” is a nice track, I like the beat, the lyrics had me at a bit of a chuckle. Some of the lyrics are on point with how some Nigerian females act, with all their shakara
But gotta love our African women though. So far I feel they have the potential, they are almost there, but not quiet. But don’t count them out, I feel a big hit coming out from this group very soon. Here are the tracks, leave a comment and let us know what you think. Mind the MecMen’s bizness
