Among this wave of new enthusiasts of music in Nigeria is 18year old rap/vocal sensation MAYDRE.

Born January 3 1993, MAYDRE real name Adetona Oluwamayowa Damilare is an artiste worth listening to.

Although he started music around 6years ago, the young rapper didn’t record his first song until 9months ago. The recording was a remix version of Ice Prince hit song Oleku where he featured a talented and artiste and producer Jarmeu. On the track it can easily be seen why MAYDRE is tipped as the next best thing in terms of young talent to come out of Nigeria

Other recent songs recorded by MAYDRE includes Swagz on Point ft. Whiz chic and gettin money a freestyle song. MAYDRE has featured in lots of songs and worked with artists like Dammy Krane, KidaKudz, Tibiony, Jarmeu, Bab Qud, Switch, D.O.E.

In his own words, MAYDRE reckons that the his best is yet to come and that he has a lot offer to a growing Nigerian music scene. His debut single “LA’CREAM GIRL” drops October.
