Lagos, 22nd of April 2010, Nigerian rapper, Da Grin, AKA Oladapo Olaitan Olanipekun passed away at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). The 23 year old was involved in an accident on the 14th of April 2010.

Original story posted – April 14th I was flipping through my black berry yesterday, when an update message popped up on my screen. The message was prayer for Nigerian rapper Da Grin. It went something like:

Da Grin you will not die in JESUS Name, you will live to see 2010 and beyond.

In my usual curious manner, I made attempts to verify what was going on with the Nigerian rapper. Sources claimed that He went to his father’s place at Meiran on Tuesday and left 7pm the
same day for his friend’s place. It was when he was his leaving friend’s place on Wednesday morning that an accident occurred on the way.

A look at the pictures we have here shows that he had a lucky escape. Apparently he had been rushed to a hospital in Mushin, Lagos, but he was referred to LUTH because the hospital did not have the facility to take care of him properly.

Although reports have been circulating that the famous rapper was in a coma, we can confirm from reliable sources that Da Grin only suffered a cut to his chin, had a successful operation and is now recuperating.

We wish the talented Nigerian rapper a quick channel to recovery and hope to see him get back to doing what he does best.
