We are less inclined to get political. I mean Amebor discussing Obama’s Nobel peace prize or how top nation’s faired at climate Conference in Copenhagen isn’t something you would expect from us, right? But amidst all the madness that has been going on in Nigeria as regards to the president’s health and the vacuum of leadership he left behind, I’m pressed to give my own subjective opinion about the matter.
I’m are absolutely sure that by now, Nigeria has become a laughing stock of the international community. And the question on everyone’s lips since our dear president Umaru Musa Yar’adua left the country for treatment is:
Is Yar’adua Dead or Alive?
Since the question has become the most popular question posed we have come up with some few theories that might help people approach their curiosity
Yar’adua is not dead he is only sleeping, getting ready to star in Avatar 2.
Yar’adua is not dead; he has simply made Jeddah his abode. If he can sign a budget from Saudi Arabia then he can surely rule Nigeria from there.
Yar’adua is not dead, he is getting set to feature in the Remix of the song Dead President with Jay –Z and Nas.
One can understand the frustration of the Nigerian people, because in the absence of the president, a series of events that has made Nigeria a laughing stock has ensued.
Farouk Abudultallab, our dear “cousin” has become the new face of Naija.
Oil has become so scares that if you seen with a gallon of petrol on the streets people ask you: Where you buy am?
The City of New York sued Nigeria for Property tax evasion. (click to read full story)
And the 2010 budget was signed late by an unknown signatory.
The news we have been getting regarding the presidents well being has been very conflicting. There are reports that he is dead, some say he is brain dead and other reports say he is getting better.
And then, we had that spoof interview that lasted 52 seconds with the BBC (whatever happened to NTA?), where the president was sounding out of tune and outright clueless. There is surely more to it that the eyes can see and we have a niggling for feeling that something will give way soon.
