Funke Akindele has debunked rumours that she is no longer a christian because of her marriage to Alhaji Kenny Almaroof Oloyode. Kenny Almaroof, a PDP Politician comes from a staunch muslim background and speculation has been rife that since Funke is married to him, she will be converting to Islam.

It did not help that Funke also adopted Khajidat as a Muslim name.

Early this morning, a fan sent a tweet to Funke; “My sis. Funke Akindele, hope u r still in CHRIST?”                             

In a response to this tweet  Funke said: “Always in Christ!! He’s my strength & Shield. Tnx”
