I know what some of you are thinking already: She must be single, lonely and bitter! Well, you couldn’t be more wrong! I hate Valentine’s Day because of several other reasons. So I’m going to attempt to write this post without coming off as an angry woman.

As we all know, it’s the Love Season. A lot of single ladies feel worthless and unappreciated because their friends who are in relationships will not shut up about what their partners will be buying them on Valentine’s Day. Some of you fail to realize that some of these people are not even in happy relationships. But it’s the “season of love” and everybody wants to feel special so they hold on to nothing, hoping to get that nice gift, and after rubbing it in your single friends’ faces, you cry yourself to sleep at night because your life sucks.

 This is the time when females call up their loser ex-boyfriends, hoping to get back together because they don’t want to be alone. You know he’s still the jackass that cheated on you, probably with one of your home girls but you don’t care. You just don’t want to be alone on Valentine’s Day. I call this time of the year “The Or Else Season.” I know it sounds cheesy but whatever. Guys feel the need to buy something expensive for their partners not because they want to. They just have to do it, or else they will get in trouble. As a female, you know there are no emotions attached to the gift. You know he didn’t put any thoughts into it but it’s better than nothing.

A friend of mine was complaining bitterly about how he has to spend money anytime it’s his girl’s birthday or when it’s Valentine’s Day. I know there are other guys out there just like that who only do things for their partners on their birthday or Valentine’s day. SHAME ON YOU! See I don’t have a problem with buying gifts for your partners. But what happened to just showing your affection for someone without waiting till Valentine’s Day? You don’t have to wait for it to be your partner’s birthday or Valentine’s Day before you do something special.

I don’t hate Valentine’s Day because of the gifts, come on, women love gifts! I guess you can call me “old-fashioned” but I like spontaneity. Make everyday a Valentine’s Day. NO! This doesn’t mean you should buy me a gift every single day. Whatever you do, put a little romance and some thoughts into it. Don’t do something nice for me just because it’s my birthday. You don’t have to go to Wal Mart to get a card. Why don’t you make one and write your own words into it. It means a lot more and it’s memorable. Occasionally surprise me because you want to, not for any particular reason.  I like simple things like that. But I’m only speaking for myself here. Most females these days don’t even take it easy on the men. You know how big your man’s bank account is but because it’s Valentine’s Day, you want him to buy you that big diamond, so you can show it off to your single friends and make them feel like crap.

This is the time of the year when people talk about how much sex they are going to have. So what happened to the other 11 months in the year? Are you saying you have not been getting any? So you only get to have sex on Valentine’s Day? I mean what makes the sex on that day so special?

And we have the females who buy gifts for themselves, take pictures of the gifts, log on to facebook and then post the pictures with captions like “awww my boo got me these. He loves me so much” News Flash: Everyone knows you’re single! The only person you’re fooling is yourself. And that’s just pathetic!

People fail to realize that it’s just ONE DAY! It’ll be over before you know it! So you decided to make other people feel like shit because your “boo” got you a bunch of roses and some expensive chocolate. Guess what? The roses are going to die in about a week or two. You will eat the chocolates, gain at least 10 pounds, and he will dump you because you got fat! Who’s laughing now?! How’s that for a Happy Valentine’s Day?!

These are the reasons why I cannot stand Valentine’s Day. LOL. BYE!

You know what they say: Hell hath no fury like an Angry igbo man who lost his wallet! LOL.  Here is a video of a Nigerian guy whose wallet was stolen by a white guy on the bus. It would have been so embarrassing if the other passenger didn’t snitch on the thief and it turned out that the man actually did lose his own wallet without it being stolen. I almost died laughing when he yelled out “You are a thief! You pick pocket me!” LMAO! I won’t ruin the fun for you guys so just check out the video.

It’s nice to know that Mo’Cheddah was able to balance her school work with her music career. She recently graduated from the University of Lagos with a degree in Creative Arts. The graduation party took place at Hush Lounge in Lagos. Celebrities like Banky W, Davido, Goldie, Tiwa Savage and several others were also present at the event. Check out some of the pictures!

Denrele

I wanted to write a short paragraph about this guy but I couldn’t come up with anything. So help me out here guys, what exactly does Denrele do?? Apart from his outrageous fashion sense and him being gay, why is he popular? ‘Cause I have absolutely no idea. But that’s not the case here. He threw a tantrum on twitter when an angry fan twitted about how irritating he was. I won’t say much, just check out the screenshots below.

ASAHWO.COM: TuFace "tapping current"

As we all know, the famous Nigerian R&B singer is expecting his 6th child from his long-term girlfriend. Even though he has 5 other kids by three different women, TuFace doesn’t believe he is a womanizer. He explains further in a recent interview he had with E Express.

“I didn’t get this from my father. My father is not a womanizer. That I know. I have never caught my father with another woman. He is very faithful to my mother. I am also not a womanizer. Yes it happens that I have more women in my life. It is the price I have to pay for being a star. I didn’t plan to have more than one woman in my life. I didn’t plan my life to be the way it is now but no regrets. I love my kids. Right now, I have three women in my life who have five kids for me (and expecting a 6th one) and I sincerely don’t know how I’m able to cope with three women. Fela had over two dozen wives but I’m not Fela. I can never be another Fela. I have three women but I’m saying a big NO to Fela’s kind of polygamy. I don’t even know what these women see in me. I used to look into the mirror sometimes and wonder what it is that they see in me.”

Help me out here guys. I mean, this guy obviously studied “Akpako knacking-ology” in school and I heard he even got a PHD in it , so how come he doesn’t see himself as a womanizer? I hate to break it to you hun, but you messed with more than one woman and that only means one thing – You are a womanizer! I’m still a big fan though .. The guy makes great music!

Former Nigerian Idol star, Zoe Chinaka drops her must soulful single “Ore Mi”. If you are, or have ever been in love, this song will take you there with your special someone.  Zoe’s beautiful, soft, angelic voice is soothing to the ear and calming to the soul.  Zoe Chinaka is not only a soulful songstress, but she is also a dancer and a song writer.  Her first single, ‘Your Love’ was received with high acclaim.  Since ‘Idols’, Chinaka has been nominated for numerous awards and is a fast rising star. Stay tuned to AMEBOR as we will follow Zoe’s budding career. I know I will be hearing this song at a few weddings this year

‘Ore Mi’ was shot on-location in Nigeria by DQE.

Earlier this week, it came as a shock to most of us when we found out that the National strike due to the Fuel subsidy removal was cancelled and the fuel price went down from N141 to N97. So the government pretty much made the protest all about the Fuel Subsidy removal, ignoring other crimes & corruption.

Before the strike got cancelled, Nigerians protested all over the world, including musicians likeBanky W, IBK, Bouqui, Ego, Tiwa Savage, Rugged Man and several others, even Dele Momodu protested in London.  But the Nigerian Youth Ambassador D’Banj and Don Jazzy were nowhere to be found.  We didn’t hear a word from either of these guys until the strike got cancelled, which caused quite an uproar on twitter and luckily, I was there to capture every moment. Do you guys think the fans misplaced their priorities by attacking Don Jazzy instead of the government? Remember, Don Jazzy didn’t force us to vote for Goodluck Jonathan.
But other Nigerian musicians protested and they didn’t get “snipped” so why was Don Jazzy no where to be found through out the protest? Would it make any difference if he participated during the protest? As a youth ambassador, shouldn’t D’Banj address the youth instead of ignoring the protest? Let’s talk about it. I guess it should not come as a shock to any of us when we see our Nigerian celebrities getting all worked up on twitter over silly comments made by fans. We have seen Toni Payne engage in twitter fights one too many times and the same thing goes for MoCheddah, so it would be wrong for Tiwa Savage not to do the same, wouldn’t it?

Tiwa Savage retweeted a photo of her at the #OccupyNigeria protest and a fan replied saying “U no even fine, na only on top TV u dey fine” then a fight broke out! I would’ve expected her to ignore the comment but if she did, I would not be doing this post right now.  So, thanks for not ignoring Tiwa

‘’Oh my God……oh……………..my…….gooooooooooood!!!’’ cried out Bayo. Some people might have over heard him and thought he was in danger or most likely he had seen a horrific sight.  The truth of the matter was that Bayo was in the throws of passion and pleasure. One who has a keen sense of hearing might hear those distinct gasps that only come from a man being straddled by a female and a smile.
However, what no sound or sense of perception could tell anybody was that this female was the very combination of passion, pleasure, danger and horror. For starters, it was his girlfriend straddling him, it was a girl he met during a campus tour at UNILAG for his company that specializes in new innovations in mobile internet data that claims to hold more promising services than any Blackberry phone would.  Despite his having a faithful girlfriend for the past 3 years, he couldn’t help himself when he saw her. Who could blame him? She wasn’t just easy on the eyes, she was a show stopper. 5 foot 8, 38-18-40, stunning face that could have proved to be Photoshop in reality and the most luscious of lips. She was a definite knock out.

After the usual chit chat, he proposed they hang out at a club he frequents.  A few drinks later and some hours on the dance floor, she seductively whispered into his ear, ‘’I have a hotel room’’. Without so much as an after thought, he carted her away to the hotel.  As soon as they got into the room, she promptly pushed him to the door, unbuckled his belt in a military manner, pulled down  his trouser and boxers at the same time and promptly gave him one of the most nerve racking blow jobs the universe has ever seen. His vocal cords were rendered numb for the exhilarating 6 minutes. When he regained ‘’consciousness’’, he asked her how she learned to do that. This was replied with a slap, a kiss and 3 joyous rounds of ‘’duvet Olympics’’.  He slept like a baby afterwards.  By the time he woke up, she was gone. As he is face rumbled in dismay, he saw a note that said,

and she wrote her number.  His heart soared at this and saved her number instantly. This became a weekly escapade for the next 6 months. A girl who comes over, No chit chat, no drinks, no outing, no shopping and no money. Just hours, and hours of energetic SEX. What more could a guy ask for? Just as he was enjoying another round of her ‘world class’ blowjobs, his phone rang.  He didn’t bother looking up…….but she did. Looking at the caller id, she smiled ruefully and said… ’’It’s your future wife’’.  Since it looked like she wasn’t going to continue, he mumbled something about interferences and answered the phone. I’m going to get a drink, she mouthed out. As she left the room, he talked into the phone.

‘’what is it honey?’’

‘’Bayo, my ATM card doesn’t seem to be working. The machine keeps telling me I have insufficient funds.’’

‘’that’s not possible’’ he said. ‘’I still deposited that N350, 000 this morning. How could it have been emptied? ’’

‘’I don’t know but I’m I dire need of cash right now. Please try and talk to Mahmud and see if this can be rectified immediately’’

Rubbing his face, he said ‘’all right. Talk to you soon’’ Ending the call, he wondered how this could have been possible. Just a glitch, he thought while dialing the bank manager’s number.

‘’Hello Bayo. Yayade? ‘’

‘’Fine I guess. Except I’m not sure. I deposited some money in my account this morning and your ATMs are telling my girlfriend that there are no funds. Even before my deposit, I still had over N4 million in that account.’’

‘’ Really? Let me check’’ After some seconds and a few taps of the keyboard….

‘’Bayo, records show here that you withdrew all the money. In fact, the deposit you made this morning has been cleared out like 10 minutes ago’’

‘’WHAT?? HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?’’

‘’It was an online transaction. You made several deposits to an account in the same bank.’’

‘’WHOSE?!!! ’’

‘’Well……..this seems weird. You deposited money in the account of…………..Nnamdi Azikwe!’’ Bayo was beyond confused and baffled. He dropped his phone while he pondered how this was possible? Who the hell is Nnamdi Azikwe? It dawned on him that he was a victim of fraudsters. He has to find the root of this matter. This girl would have to wait. By the way, where was she?? He dressed up and went to the reception of the hotel.

‘’Where is the girl I came with?’’, Asked Bayo.

‘’Sir, she left some minutes ago’’

‘’Where to? ’’, He Rebutted

‘’I do not know sir’’ It finally dawned on him what just happened. His heart missed a beat as he didn’t want to admit it to be possible. He went to her hall and asked where her room was. The porter promptly told him that no such person lives in that hall. He was furious. He went to the police station to report the incident. 30 minutes later, they were at the administrative block. After explaining to the registrar, they checked the school records. There was no such person in the school by that name. With a downcast mind, he drove home slowly. When he got inside, he saw his wife at the table.

‘’darling, there seems to be some issues with the account. I will try and ……………darling, what’s wrong?’’ She just sat there. Stock faced and rigid, it was like she wasn’t even breathing. As he approached the table, he saw pictures scattered on the table.

At this, she went to their room. 5 minutes later, she was dragging her bags out and made a move for the door. He blocked her instantly saying……

’’Please honey, I didn’t mean to do it. The devil used me. We will go for deliverance tomorrow. Please don’t go. God is in control’’. At this, she dropped her bags and delivered 2 Olympic styled slaps…WACK….. WACK…..then proceeded to head butt him. Stunned…….and a little scared, he just laid there on the ground. She picked her bags and went to her car. in 3 minutes, she was in her car and driving out of his house.

Shell shocked and confused, he kept crying out why this had to happen to him. His phone rang. He looked at the caller id and practically screamed. It was the girl. Why didn’t he think of calling her before? He picked it up.

‘’I just have 1 question for you. Why did you have to do this to me? Why? I thought we were just having fun. Why did you have to ruin my life?’’ After seconds of silence, she spoke :

’’Because it’s fun’’.

And she ended the call. He tried back again. The line was switched off. He tried pinging her……nothing happened. He was completely and utterly devastated.

Many miles away from Bayo’s predicament, she breaks the SIM card and takes a hammer to the Blackberry phone. Satisfied with its destruction, she hands over N20, 000 in cash to the guy who took the pictures and sent them to his wife. After he left, she smiled at her accomplishment. Half Belarusian, half Nigerian. She was equally lovely and lethal.

‘’I see you made great strides my dear’’

Turning, she gazed upon her teacher and mentor. A dastardly beautiful older woman. With hair hooks that looked like snakes. And a fashion sense that was beyond Milan itself. The woman was simply known to her as “The Aunty“.

‘’I’m glad you are pleased’’, The Aunty stood up and walked up to the girl and began caressing her hair. ‘’You’ve passed your test. Now we begin your full training, Kemi Zmir’’………….
