Banky W’s song “Strong Ting” has won the best R and B single at the annual Hip Hop world awards that took place on Saturday, 29th of May 2010. The video of the song which featured on amebor.com sometimes last year has been very popular with a lot of Nigerian musical fans and it is will come as no surprise that it has scooped up the award.

American Born, Banky W who relocated to Nigeria in 2008 has moved quickly on the musical rank ladder and this can be attributed to his professionalism. A highlight of Banky’s career has shown that the artiste has always worked with the best talent in the industry and the quality of his songs and videos is a testament to this fact.

The amount of talent on display at this year’s award was large and notable performances by Obiwon Goldie and D’Prince would definitely linger in the memories of the attendees for time to come. The highlight of the night, howerever, has to be a tribute performance by General Phype for Late Da Grin.
