Since reality isn’t a homogeneous experience, we have come up with a new way of reviewing events that we cover. From a female and male perspective. Reviewers will be randomly selected attendees of the said event. So off we go.
Title: Shame In GLamour (African Night)
Male [Written by Wale O.]
If anything, this party reminds us that the world is more divided now than it was many centuries ago and that this division can be easily put into Music, the fashion and even morals ethics people have. We constantly reassure you that we won’t report anything we don’t see keeping in mind that our view is based on subjective reasoning. The party was as mediocre as all others I’ve been to.
Too many a times we wonder why promoters publicize an event so much and forget to upgrade class when it comes to the venue. Poorly lit halls with dispersed crowd of beautiful people in a hall so big you will think you are in a concert.
The dress code was well not worth all of the extras. People assume that fashion is defined by what they wear, but it’s more of the way you wear the outfit. DON’T LET IT WEAR YOU.
I believe I will be telling more than the truth when I say it was more a lackluster event with very little personality. These promoters need a Little bit of class and a little more ambiance. A MEDIOCRE NIGHT BY ALL STANDARDS. On a positive side though, a lot of beautiful women graced the occasion, but the guys were looking jacked up. The girls are actually a lot of fun, bringing back a lot of the old dance moves, re-enacting Michael Jackson moves. (I miss u dude, R.I.P).
The party ended up with a crisp sound of the latest Nigerian drum
beats, shout outs to the promoters and the crew that made it happen.
They should be ashamed of themselves. Straight outright fun with no class!

I won’t dispute the fact that C-PAC night club was packed last night, that was obvious even to a blind man. Sold out tickets due to high demand meant organizers had to print more, a headache am sure most promoters will gladly decline to take an aspirin for.
With virtually every African country having a citizen in attendance, the event was sure to be rated successful in terms of followership. A clash of similar African cultures in the house made the atmosphere very fun like. The dance floor was packed with people who were ready to have fun. At one point the party was rudely interrupted for a SEXIEST AFRICAN QUEEN competition. Are we in a school PROM? Are we being PUNK’D? These are the questions I think would have been going through people’s minds.
I did a hear a girl saying: “I didn’t pay $20 to come see pageant o” I could not stop laughing and minutes later, with the music back on, I could see her getting her buckwild on, so I guess she got her $20 worth afterall. A brawl involving an unnamed girl almost ensued on the dance floor and she had to be restrained by a friend before the matter got out of control. A chick from Queens did lose her wallet and despite repeated announcements, the wallet was never returned (Trust Africans). If you are reading this please kindly send her SS card to the address on the ID.
A bouncer almost got punched in the face after he disrespected one of the DJ’s (Who was not playing) at the event. He was duly reminded who he was messing with, as the DJ roared out in annoyance: ‘I will put you on my fuc@*#g payroll ni**a! The situation was finally brought under control before it turned into a huge fight. In the end, I think AFRICAN NITE was a successful event and AMEBOR was in the building holding it down as usual. Big shout-outs to AFICALABASH ENT for hosting such a sold out event.
